HVAC systems should be part of your virus precautions
Help your clients learn more about proper equipment and operations
Some people are concerned that heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems could play a role in the transmission of airborne viruses.
Outside air ventilation is important
HSB engineers advise that ventilation with outside air and proper filtration in business facilities are important safeguards when taking precautions to protect employees, customers and visitors.
Avoid recirculation only systems
Recirculation only systems, with no, or limited, outside air, can become a problem. Those might include wall-mounted “ductless” air conditioners, often used in restaurants, and supplemental fans used in enclosed areas.
