    Key benefits

    Critical electrical risk reduction

    Support with achieving regulatory compliance

Electrical installations are often the unseen lifeblood of sites. However, those installations can degrade over time due to use, age, and environmental factors. Identifying hidden defects is vital before they escalate into critical failures, fire hazards, or statutory compliance breaches (under the Electricity at Work Regulations).

    The service

Our NICEIC-certified fixed wiring inspection and repair service provides the critical assurance you need, offering a consolidated solution where a single partner, HSB, manages both the inspection and the necessary repairs for your electrical installations. This approach delivers a significantly more streamlined and efficient service, eliminating the administrative burden and delays often associated with coordinating multiple vendors.

We can provide a complete 'Test, report, and rectify' solution, ensuring your electrical infrastructure meets the rigorous standards of BS 7671 (The IET Wiring Regulations). We move beyond simple "tick-box" compliance to offer a thorough engineering assessment of your fixed wiring.

Electrical faults are a leading cause of commercial fires and workplace injuries. Our service is designed to uncover the invisible risks lurking in your walls and distribution boards; from overloaded circuits to degraded insulation. By identifying these issues early and categorising them by severity (C1 - Danger Present, C2 - Potentially Dangerous, C3 - Improvement Recommended, or FI - Further Investigation), we allow you to prioritise repairs and remove immediate dangers to your employees and visitors.
Navigating the complexities of electrical safety legislation can be challenging. Our qualified engineers conduct a detailed periodic inspection to produce an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR). This document acts as your proof of compliance, demonstrating to regulators (and insurers) that you are actively managing the safety of your electrical assets in line with the Electricity at Work Regulations.

    • Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR): Designed to ensure that an electrical system is safe for continued use, an EICR is a formal report which assesses the safety and condition of a property's fixed electrical installations, resulting in a 'Satisfactory' or 'Unsatisfactory' outcome.
    • Defect prioritisation and coding: A clear breakdown of all observed non-compliances, coded as C1 - Danger Present, C2 - Potentially Dangerous, C3 - Improvement Recommended, or FI - Further Investigation.
    • Circuit schedules and test results: Comprehensive data tables for every circuit tested, ensuring your asset records are accurate and up to date.
    • Remedial action plan: A costed, technical proposal to rectify any identified C1, C2, C3  or FI defects, providing a clear pathway to achieving a fully compliant 'Satisfactory' status. Note: only C1 and C2 defects result in an 'Unsatisfactory' outcome. C3 and FI can exist on a report with a 'Satisfactory' outcome.
