Data on natural disasters since 1980

Munich Re’s NatCatSERVICE

Munich Re’s NatCatSERVICE is one of the world’s most comprehensive databases for analysing and evaluating losses caused by natural disasters. For this service, Munich Re has for decades been systematically recording in detail all essential information on loss events worldwide. This is stored in a digital catalogue of events and damage.

The data offer an essential basis for assessing the risk from natural hazards for us and for our clients within the insurance industry but also outside it.

We will be pleased to support you with a customised range of data, analyses and statistics. Worldwide and regional observations are possible, as well as detailed studies of possible loss trends in specific regions, and for different natural hazards.
