The U.S Flaspöhler Research Group has examined its cedants ratings over the last ten years. For both life and non-life business, Munich Re earned the highest average rating across all categories for the combined years. For non-life, the total number of participants across all survey years was around 2500. For life the total number of participants across all survey years was around 1770.
For non-life, Munich Re earned the highest overall rating for the decade in the following: Financial Security, Financial Value, Leading Expertise and Market Knowledge, Strong Claims Handling Ability, Strong Client Orientation, Timely Service and Underwriting Capabilities.
For life, Munich Re earned the highest overall rating for the decade in these categories: Financial Value, Actuarial Expertise, Client Orientation, Medical Underwriting Capabilities, Financial Security, Timely Service and Technical Expertise.
