What is your primary area of focus in your new role?

What inspired you to join Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets UK?

Talent – Attracting, retaining, and developing top talent is critical. We need to invest in our people to ensure our reputation for expertise only grows stronger.

Service – Brokers and clients remain at the heart of everything we do. Outstanding service will be our differentiator — helping our partners stay competitive, through the market cycle.

Specialisms – We’ll continue to double down on being the market of choice for specialist, targeted products — building on our reputation as experts and trusted advisors.

I’m really excited by the prospect of helping to shape the future strategy for Munich Re Specialty in the UK regions.  Backed by a strong broker network, in-house expertise, and market-leading specialist products it is a very exciting proposition. It now has the benefit of a unique combination: nimble and agile local service supported by the financial strength of a multinational insurer.

In a crowded market, true expertise and exceptional service create a clear competitive edge. I believe we’re perfectly positioned to accelerate profitable growth with our broker partners.

Where do you see the greatest opportunity to create impact within our regional business?

What’s the key action you’d like to see from our broker partners?

Our strength lies in collaboration — blending specialist products with deep expertise to help brokers win more. I’m passionate about strengthening existing relationships and creating new ones, helping brokers remain competitive and relevant.

We’re committed to being more than a market — we aim to be trusted advisors, working alongside partners to evolve existing offerings and co-create innovative solutions.

I’d love to hear from our broker partners — your insights on our service, specialist products, and expertise are invaluable. Where can we support you better? How can we grow together? Let’s collaborate to create more opportunities.

Cyber Underwriter Manager

What is your primary area of focus in your new role?

What’s the key takeaway you'd like brokers to remember about cyber opportunities?

I want to help brokers deliver knowledge-based sales through enhanced marketing and education, demystifying the jargon where I can! I will also look to further enhance our offering with the integration of cybersecurity tools and services so we are all better placed to respond to risks as they emerge.
Not all businesses have realised the risks they face and even those that have are sometimes underinsured. To change this I would stress the importance of a knowledge-based sales strategy and recommend to brokers that they develop a comprehensive understanding of the evolving cyber threat landscape allowing them to better assess their clients’ needs and act as their trusted advisor. Being able to explain the complexities of cyber threats and how cyber insurance can mitigate those risks is essential.
