Exhibiting at BIBA’s 2025 Conference, Munich Re Specialty’s presence at Manchester Central on 14 and 15 May took on a new level of size and scale for the business – with its largest stand yet.
The Conference once again broke its own records for delegates, with almost 10,000 people from across the UK insurance network in attendance, underlining the importance for Munich Re Specialty to put its best foot forward at such a prestigious market meeting.
The importance of the UK market
The UK regional market is playing an important role in delivering on the vision for Munich Re Specialty. The Global Markets, UK business has been present for 40 years, and our success is made possible by a long-term partnership approach and our strong relationships with brokers.
Munich Re Specialty has recently appointed Neil Atkinson as Head of Underwriting for the UK, who will have a hands on and dedicated task to further the development of the Global Markets, UK business. The appointment of this new role emphasizes the company’s dedication to its clients and the UK regional market.

Our focus within the next 24 months is building out our service proposition and recruiting for new roles across different regions.
