Munich Re achieves excellent position in major corporate responsibility rating

Munich Re has again qualified for the RobecoSAM/Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) World/Europe – for the 15th consecutive year.

In the 2016 RobecoSAM rating, Munich Re was able to improve its total score and is now ranked in the top 10 of the 120 insurance companies listed. Munich Re’s strong results in the current assessment are recognition of our consistent Group-wide actions in carrying out our responsible business approach. In particular, Munich Re’s new shared value approach appealed to the rating analysts, as did our efforts to incorporate environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects into our core business. In both criteria we were able to achieve the full score and are the top performer in the insurance sector.

Munich Re's inclusion in the DJSI and other sustainability indices such as the FTSE4Good or the STOXX® Global ESG Leaders Index show that the corporate responsibility strategy Munich Re pursues is successful and authentic.
