Celebrating 10 years of Leadership in Responsible Investment

In 2006 Munich Re signed – as first German corporation – the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), which we helped to draw up. At its 10th anniversary PRI reflects intensively how they can be successful and efficient over the next few years. In view of the global challenges we face 10 years on, and their impact on societies and the investment world, they argue that putting the Principles adequately into practice needs a thorough strategy. In the framework of open stakeholder-consultations on national level PRI is discussing their respective ideas and proposals with its corporate members. A core question here is amongst others which mid- and long-term goals PRI will postulate for the next 10 years.

At the German consultation meeting on June 3rd representatives of Munich Re took the opportunity for expertise exchange with their counterparts of PRI and other signatory companies. In particular the question how compliance with the criteria can be measured more clearly was discussed controversially.
