    Storms, floods, earthquakes, wildfires, droughts: Natural disasters strike again and again all over the world, claiming countless lives and causing major economic and insured losses.  

    This seminar focuses on some of 2023’s most significant natural disasters from the insurance perspective, including how this year’s events fit into long-term trends and the role played by climate change; the devastating humanitarian consequences of major natural catastrophes; resilience measures that actually helped to mitigate losses; and many other notable items from 2023.
