    Client management

Our Client Managers are responsible for the client relationship as a whole, placing the full scope of knowledge and solutions available within Munich Re at our clients’ disposal. They analyse needs and provide comprehensive advice on developing reinsurance structures. As interfaces between clients and technical underwriting teams, client managers contribute their insights to portfolio analysis and help optimise the solutions implemented. Client managers also accompany and support French insurance companies in their international activities by arranging valuable contacts with their colleagues in Munich Re’s worldwide organisation.

As the case requires, multidisciplinary and international project teams can be swiftly put together for our clients in order to work on complex, often non-traditional, innovative, individualised risk solutions.

    Solvency II

A team of specialists dedicated to the French and Benelux markets can be called on to develop the best reinsurance strategy for clients to meet the challenge of Solvency II. A highly detailed analysis of a client’s individual situation forms the basis for our work.

    Traditional non-life reinsurance

Our Client Managers and underwriting teams offer the full scope of proportional and non-proportional solutions for classic non-life classes of business and natural catastrophe programmes. The technical teams are equipped with special skills in specific areas such as professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ liability insurance, decennial liability and medical malpractice.

Based on a profound knowledge of primary insurance business, Munich Re, Paris develops proportional and non-proportional facultative reinsurance solutions for the following classes of business: fire and miscellaneous perils, general liability, professional indemnity, personal accident, engineering risks and construction. With substantial underwriting capacities to draw on and immediate access to the head office’s capacity, the facultative team can also meet highly specific cession requirements.
