Willingness to craft business solutions that provide efficiencies to the insurance value chain
Eagerness to be part of transformational projects
Openness for people, cultures and new technologies

Current IT projects and innovations

HSB, a Munich Re Group company, recently introduced virtual claims checks in its machinery insurance for commercial clients. The app-based solution improves the customer experience in the event of a claim. Images and other data are transmitted directly to a team of experts via live stream, allowing a greater number of claims to be assessed visually than before and the efficiency to be increased.
Both the agricultural industry and the entire food production value chain are strongly affected by current global trends such as climate change and digitalization. To reduce their impact, we are using our experience and technical expertise to develop new solutions for risk transfer in agriculture. Such solutions can be tailored flexibly to customer needs and offer protection not only to farmers but to all actors along the value chain.
Together with Munich Re, the machinery factory Reinhausen has developed a new type of service based on the Internet of Things. It makes it possible to monitor the operating status of transformers in real time and without interruption, and thus to initiate the necessary maintenance work in good time. The special feature here is that Munich Re insures the risk of a transformer failing despite constant monitoring.
