    Great Lakes Australia have appointed Arthur J Gallager, Australia as our Managing General Agent (MGA) to deliver aviation insurance products.

    If you hold an aviation insurance policy arranged through Arthur J Gallagher, you can lodge a claim directly with them as per policy terms and conditions and they will in turn refer the claim to us for assessment. You can also contact GLA Claims if you need additional support.  Great Lakes Australia will be responsible for the claims handling services of all aviation claims.

    Filing a claim can be a stressful time and we are committed to making the process as smooth and transparent as possible for you. To help you understand what to expect, here’s an overview of the steps that will be followed once a claim is lodged with us.

    1   Claim acknowledgement

    If we receive your claim directly, we will acknowledge receipt via email within two business days.  You will also receive a unique claim reference number for tracking purposes.

    2   Document review and assessment

    We will review the submitted documentation and may request additional information if necessary.  Depending on the nature of the claim, we may also appoint a Loss Adjuster or conduct an inspection.

    3   Claim evaluation

    We will evaluate your claim in accordance with your policy terms and conditions.  This includes determining the cause of loss, assessing damages, and determining coverage.

    4   Communication and updates

    We will keep you informed throughout the process.  If further clarification or supporting documents are needed, we will contact you promptly.

    5   Claim decision and settlement

    Once the claim assessment is completed, we will notify you of the claim outcome directly or through Gallaghers. If approved, the settlement will be processed within five business days. You will receive detailed information about the payment or any deductibles applied.
