Larry Carson
Executive Vice President

Larry Carson is a global life reinsurance executive with more than 30 years of leadership across strategy, pricing, risk management, and international market expansion, with deep expertise in asset-intensive, longevity, pension risk transfer, and financially-motivated reinsurance. As Executive Vice President at Munich Re Life US, he is focused on developing innovative client solutions and helping to develop the next generation of leaders. 

Previously, Mr. Carson held numerous positions at Reinsurance Group of America, ultimately serving as Executive Vice President, Global Financial Solutions. In this capacity, he scaled the business into a $1 billion annual pre-tax operating income leader, leading teams across multiple continents to deliver more than $2 billion in value creation.

Mr. Carson graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a concentration in Mathematics. He is a published author and a frequent speaker at industry conferences. Outside of work, he is an enthusiastic supporter of musical theater and serves as Trustee and Treasurer for STAGES St. Louis, a non-profit theatre company producing Broadway-quality musicals for nearly 40 years.
