Claudia Carnevale is Head of North America Programs at Munich Re Specialty, where she oversees our North America Programs, which include dedicated teams serving the US and Canadian markets, as well as insurtechs—three strategic areas driving innovation and growth across our portfolio. Since joining Munich Re Specialty in 2024, Claudia has made a significant impact on program development and strategy, partner engagement, and the leadership and advancement of the US Programs division.

With more than 25 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry—20 of those dedicated to Programs—Claudia brings deep expertise and a proven track record of success. Prior to Munich Re Specialty, she served as SVP and Chief Risk Officer at Homesite Underwriting Managers, where she helped build and lead a new Programs division with responsibility for underwriting, product development, compliance, and operations. Earlier in her career, Claudia held senior leadership roles at Allied World and other leading (re)insurers, consistently driving growth and operational excellence in the Programs segment.

Claudia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from American University in Washington, D.C., and holds CPCU and ARe designations. She is an active member of APIW and the John Street Club. Passionate about developing underwriting talent, strengthening program partner relationships, and advancing product innovation, Claudia is committed to delivering best-in-class solutions for the Programs market.
