Sean Kim
Head of In-Force and M&A Solutions

Mr. Kim leads the Munich Re Life US In-Force and M&A Solutions team, delivering innovative reinsurance strategies that help clients manage risk, optimize in-force blocks, and achieve financial objectives in M&A and block reinsurance transactions. In this role, he combines expertise in both in-force management and transaction support, enabling more holistic solutions that strengthen client balance sheets and long-term performance.

Previously, Mr. Kim served as Head of M&A Solutions, focusing on bespoke reinsurance structures for life and annuity transactions. Before that, he led Individual Life business development activities, working closely with US life carriers to design strategies aligned with their growth goals.

Mr. Kim joined Munich Re’s Toronto-based Global Actuarial Consulting Group in 2015, where he led a large team of consultants working on global initiatives. Before joining Munich Re, Mr. Kim worked at a direct carrier in a variety of roles. He has extensive experience across product development, management and pricing, in-force management, financial reporting, and distribution management.
