Curriculum Vitae

Matthew Johnson joined HSB UK and Ireland in 2020 as Head of Human Resources and was appointed to Director of Human Resources in 2022, responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the HR team; including talent management and development strategies.

Prior to joining HSB, Matthew was Head of Reward for Munich Re UK and Ireland Group. He began his career in a recruitment role at The Computer Group and has subsequently held various HR roles within EC Harris, BDO, Steria and Adecco.

Matthew has over 25 years' experience in HR leadership, recruitment, and reward and compensation. 

Matthew holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Civilisation from Leeds University and a MA in Personnel and Development from Westminster University. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
