    "As we look ahead to this year's BIBA Conference, the theme "Time:To" feels especially relevant, both for me personally and for HSB UK & Ireland. Having recently joined the business, it's a natural moment to reflect on how we can evolve and strengthen our existing partnerships to shape our next phase of growth.  

    Time:To collaborate and build on strong foundations

    HSB has a strong reputation among those who know us, built on specialist knowledge and trusted expertise. BIBA therefore presents an exciting opportunity to build on that foundation and to further discuss our mutual growth ambitions with our partners.  

    Beyond that, BIBA provides a valuable platform for us to gain critical insight about how the market views us; from the clarity and strength of our propositions, to how we can offer added value to our partners and their customers.  

    As I prepare for BIBA, I'm excited to connect with our existing partners, and also to form new connections to develop potential relationships with people that HSB wouldn't typically be exposed to. I'm looking forward to hearing about their challenges and opportunities and exploring how we can collaborate to drive innovation in our industry.

    Time:To have authentic conversations

    BIBA isn't simply about being seen, it's about listening. The value in attending comes from meeting people face-to-face and having authentic conversations to hear about their insights and perspectives, which is what ultimately helps to develop meaningful connections.

    For us, it's an opportunity to engage directly with insurers and MGAs, to better understand their priorities and how these are evolving. These conversations are invaluable in helping us ensure we continue to meet and exceed expectations. By expanding our understanding of partner needs, we can continue to evolve our approach and strengthen the value we deliver together.

    Cyber insurance is an area where conversations at BIBA feel particularly relevant this year. It's a topic that will dominate the conference floor, and for good reason. Although cyber is a mature product, it's a fast-evolving risk with enormous potential for insurers, MGAs, and customers alike. 

    But to unlock that potential, the market needs to move away from seeing cyber cover as something that springs into action only when a claim occurs. At HSB, we see the role of insurance as going beyond protection alone. There is increasing importance in supporting customers earlier in the risk lifecycle through prevention, insight, and education.

    By combining our technical expertise with a broader service-led approach, we can help partners and customers navigate emerging risks with greater confidence and clarity.

    In today's hybrid working environment, the value of face-to-face interaction is more important than ever.

    BIBA creates a unique space where the market comes together with shared focus and purpose. These moments allow for stronger alignment and the kind of conversations that are difficult to replicate elsewhere.

    For me, success at BIBA is about connection and momentum, strengthening relationships, gaining valuable insight, and identifying the opportunities that will shape our next phase of growth. Because this really is a Time:To collaborate and continue building strong, forward-looking partnerships."
