Shawn Elliott

Head of Human Resources, Munich Re North America 

Mr. Elliott is Head of Human Resources for Munich Re North America, leading all HR functions across the region.

Since joining Munich Re in 2009, Mr. Elliott has held a variety of roles in the company, all focused on building and supporting high-performance teams. Most recently he was Senior Vice President of People and Workplace Experience for Munich Re’s Life and Health business in Canada and the U.S., where he was responsible for the development and oversight the people strategy.

He also spent time at Munich Re’s home office in Munich, Germany, as well as many years in Toronto, Canada. He is currently based in New York City. 

Prior to joining Munich Re, Mr. Elliott was Director of Recruitment at TELUS, where he oversaw the strategy and operations for all facets of talent acquisition and has more than 25 years of HR management experience.
