    PED/CE

    HSB offers Notified Body Services to manufacturers of pressure equipment to be placed in the European Union market. The European Pressure Equipment Direction 2014/68/EU (PED) is the regulation under which certain classes of pressure equipment must be built for shipment into countries in the European Economic Area (EEA).

    CSA N285

    Canadian Standards Association N285 establishes requirements for design, construction, commissioning, inspection, and maintenance of pressure-retaining systems, components, and their supports in nuclear power plants. Leveraging ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code standards, it adds requirements for nuclear facilities in Canada.

    Nuclear Quality Assurance (NQA)

    Korea Electric Power Industry Code (KEPIC)

    KEPIC is defined as a set of integrated codes and standards applicable to the entire process of designing, manufacturing, installing, and operating electric power facilities, including nuclear and thermal power plants, to secure their safety and reliability.

    KEPIC was developed using international standards applied to domestic standard power facilities, with the resulting code equaling or exceeding technical aspects of the reference standards. Administration requirements are adjusted to suit domestic situations, and QA requirements are differentiated for nuclear and nonnuclear applications.

    Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Inspection Services

    HSB is the world’s largest authorized inspection agency (AIA) accredited by the ASME.
