Marc-Andre Giguere

President and CEO, Munich Re Life US  

Marc-Andre Giguere is the President and CEO of Munich Re Life US, driving the leading reinsurer’s long-term direction, strategy investments, and unprecedented business transformation.

Mr. Giguere joined Munich Re, Canada (Life) in November 2015 as Senior Vice President, North America In-force Management. In July 2017, he assumed the role of Executive Vice President of Reinsurance for Munich Re Life US and President and CEO of Munich Re Health for the US. His extensive experience includes leading all areas of the Individual and Group Reinsurance teams, in-force management, mergers and acquisitions, talent acquisitions, regulatory concerns, litigation support, and financial reporting.

Prior to joining Munich Re, Mr. Giguere was most recently a partner and the Canadian National Insurance Leader at Ernst & Young. He was also a partner and actuarial consultant in the U.S. for Ernst & Young and Towers Perrin, a large international actuarial consulting firm.

Mr. Giguere is a graduate of Laval University with a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
