Professional Development

From the first day of your career, we provide you with the tools you need to take an active role in managing your career.

Our concept of "people development through continuous learning" ensures that the focus of our efforts stays on you. Each one of the components of our people development strategy work together in conjunction with one another to effectively and continuously develop our employees.

Learning and development

Our learning and development strategy requires that our employees take an active role in managing their own career. We provide a number of programs which encourage developmental relationships and experiences, feedback, and training within a stimulating environment.

Performance management

Our performance management process is a collaborative partnership in which you and your manager establish performance goals that support both the business and your individual development and assist in your personal growth.

Leadership development

We value leadership at every level and we expect our employees to act as business leaders – always! Our leaders focus on growing themselves, their people and the organization.

Tuition Assistance Program

Our Tuition Assistance Program is a key component towards developing your career. Eligible full-time employees can receive financial assistance for approved courses and materials taken at accredited institutions, including classes which lead to industry designations. In addition, we offer on-site classes, at no charge, at our Princeton Office in support of your professional development towards achieving Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Insurance Institute of America designations.

Actuarial Student Program

Our Actuarial Student Program is designed to recognize and reward individuals for passing actuarial exams and obtaining Actuarial designations. For eligible employees, we offer tuition reimbursement, study hours, bonuses and salary increases for passing actuarial exams and for achieving an Actuarial designation. Eligibility for the program is determined by the manager and is open only to those who demonstrate a serious commitment to this professional designation and who are engaged in actuarial work for us.
