Alex Yang
Head of Alternative Solutions

Mr. Yang leads Munich Re Life US’s Alternative Solutions team, partnering with life insurance clients to develop innovative reinsurance structures that address their most complex challenges. He also oversees the growth and strategic direction of Munich Re’s U.S. Longevity Reinsurance business.

Prior to his current role, Mr. Yang held a series of progressively senior positions at Munich Re, including roles in Structured Reinsurance, Marketing Actuary, and Pricing Actuary, where he focused on designing reinsurance solutions and delivering strategic support to clients. He began his career as a consulting actuary with Ernst & Young. 

Mr. Yang holds a Bachelor of Mathematics in Actuarial Science and Risk Management from the University of Waterloo.
