An ever-changing world

This page provides information for existing policyholders and their brokers. Policyholders who have questions or wish to arrange or amend cover should contact their broker. Brokers can find details of how to contact us here.

The potential availability of cover against War and Strikes risks can be determined by reference to the Risk Level shown in the JCC Cargo Watch List. Summaries of recent changes to Risk Levels are provided below.

Where covered, shipments to or from locations for which the Risk Level is “Elevated” or “High” will be subject to a surcharge rate or premium.

The availability of cover (if any), the terms and conditions, and the rate or premium for shipments to or from locations where the Risk Level is “Very High”, “Severe” or “Extreme”, and in some cases where the Risk Level is “High”, are subject to change, and will only be determined at the time of shipment; prior notice to us of any such shipments is therefore required.

Other considerations will be used in determining whether cover is available; examples include, international sanctions, internal controls and risk appetite.

Information about risks posed worldwide is available from various sources, including https://www.cia.gov/the-world-factbook/
