Company structure

Munich Re Specialty Group (the Group) includes the Lloyd’s underwriting Syndicate, the international distribution companies, risk-management services and our own broker, Roanoke International Brokers Limited. In addition, Munich Re Capital and Munich Re Capital No.2 Limited, which are 100% owned by MRSG, provide a source of capital to the Group. The Syndicate team is based in the iconic Lloyd’s building in the heart of the City of London and, with its diverse and unique skill-set, provides sophisticated underwriting expertise for large, complex and unusual risks. 

The Group manages a network of international distribution companies, including GJW Direct, NMU and Munich Re Specialty Group North America. It has Syndicate offices in Asia-Pacific and the Middle East, and across the UK, Ireland and the United States. A separate unit, Watkins Marine Services, which focuses on transportation-related and energy risk management, operates within our Lloyd’s broker, Roanoke International Brokers Limited. The international capability allows us to reach our clients around the world and work closely with them to provide specialist, tailored insurance solutions. Our clients know they can count on us for a service-oriented relationship and our in-depth knowledge.
