We have embarked on a new path with “Strengthening Leadership Presence”. Nowadays, ambitious leaders are not successful on the basis of their hierarchical status but because of their strong presence and connectivity with others. Therefore, we offer a pilot workshop for 1.5 days on September 26/27, conducted by our executive coach Nicolas Pesch. By making a deep dive into personal leadership questions, GMPs will work on how to become more present, thus improving their personal impact, flexibility, personal authority, gravitas and composure. We will combine mind and body work to accelerate performance in a challenging business environment.

GMP Lounge
On 7 May, Jamie Bartlett, journalist, tech blogger and author of The Dark Net, gave a talk at our 5th GMP Lounge entitled “Digital technology is changing the world – how social media, the dark net and cybercrime manipulate society and politics”. Around 50 GMP candidates on site plus 12 GMP members via Skype enjoyed an insightful and evocative presentation on a topic that is entirely relevant to our daily life and our business. A very inspiring evening in a relaxed atmosphere facilitated by two GMPs, Julia Dechamps, IoT1.1.2, and Christine Franziszi, IR1.
GMP Lab+
On 24–26 April, a GMP Lab took place in the APAC region for the first time. The Munich Re Office in Singapore brought together 8 participants from all over the region. Together with executive coach Nicola Madjno, the colleagues had the opportunity to exchange their personal experiences and knowledge in order to explore what the transformation means for them as managers and their teams. The group also visited the Google Campus in Singapore to talk to Google managers about current topics and challenges and worked with IMD professor Howard Yu on innovation and disruption.

Our successful Lab journey continues: in small teams GMP members from different regions, business fields and hierarchical levels will come together in a protected environment to share their practical cases with the facilitation of an experienced executive coach. This year’s Labs will again focus on topics like transformation & leadership, agility, complexity down - efficiency up. In 2019, we will offer 3 more Labs, one in Munich (24/25 July), one in Princeton (12/13 September) and another in either Munich or Düsseldorf on 11/12 December. You will receive a separate registration email in due course.
IMD Reunion
In February 2020, we will conduct a reunion of the GMPs who attended our 2nd IMD Development Journey in 2018. Back then, the group came together under the headline “Changing Leadership in the Digital Age”. They strengthened their collaboration across business fields, experienced other companies under the pressure of transformation and worked on leadership challenges. We will renew this feeling of collaboration around a common experience and will provide additional content for interesting discussions.
