You are passionate about Data Science and want to have impact? Come and join us on our Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) data science day. Show your data science skills in a real world case on wind data. From exploratory dashboard to wind speed modelling, choose your task and work in a small team to learn about data and analytics at Munich  Re. Our opening keynote will discuss sustainability and its impact on Munich  Re’s business steering. Colleagues from Sydney will talk about modelling the impact of climate change on credit portfolios in Australia.

About Data and Analytics at Munich Re

Data, Analytics and AI are key topics and strong value drivers for the insurance industry. Our ambition is to lead the digital journey in the insurance industry and beyond. Our expertise varies from data engineering and data analytics to implementing the latest AI methodology. We apply this globally across all lines of insurance, from classical lines such as motor or health, to specialty lines such as aerospace or AI insurance.

Program of the day

You will get an overview of our data analytics & AI applications with a focus on ESG (environmental, social and governance) topics. In the opening keynote, our global sustainability lead will provide you insights on the impact of ESG topics to Munich  Re’s business steering. Next, we will provide you insights in different analytics & AI use cases, e.g. how our colleagues from Sydney model the impact of climate change on credit portfolios. However, we will not stay in theory. You can show off your data science skills during the data challange, which is based on a real-world data and aims to answer important business questions.
