HSB Engineering Insurance appoints new Chief Underwriting Officer

Specialist engineering and construction insurer HSB Engineering Insurance (HSB), part of Munich Re, has appointed Stephen Morris as its new Chief Underwriting Officer, subject to regulatory approval. Stephen will be leading underwriting strategy to support business development objectives to grow core products and expand markets. In addition, he will be building HSB’s underwriting talent and risk engineering capabilities as well as enhancing underwriting guidelines and compliance standards.

Stephen will be based in London and report directly to Stephen Worrall, Managing Director.

Stephen has been with HSB for seven years and was previously Underwriting Manager for the Energy Team. Prior to this, he was at RSA for six years as a Construction Power and Engineering Underwriting Manager. He has worked in the industry for over 30 years, including positions at Eagle Star and Cornhill Insurance.
