Press Release

Specialist engineering and construction insurer HSB Engineering Insurance (HSB), as part of Munich Re, has announced today that it will be relocating its customer solutions centre from Oldham to central Manchester.

Forming part of the insurer’s vision to be the best client and market focused engineering insurer, the move not only sets the business in the heart of the Manchester insurance market, but is focused on bringing its service teams closer to its clients.

Stephanie Watkins, CEO of HSB Engineering Insurance, commented:

“Moving into high profile premises in the heart of Manchester’s financial district is an investment in our future that will enable us to build on our reputation and strengthen our relationships with our clients and brokers.

At HSB our heritage is deeply rooted in engineering and loss prevention. Manchester, as the historic home of engineering insurance, is the perfect location for serving our clients. As we relocate our employees to the new offices we will be ensuring that the transition is as seamless as possible for our customers.”

The relocation follows a new office opening in Dublin and numerous key business development and underwriting appointments this year. All of these initiatives are part of HSB Engineering Insurance’s growth strategy and positioning as a market leader in construction, engineering and renewable energy insurance.
