Industry 1.0

In the mid-to-late 1800s, the Industrial Revolution began and redefined the way humans worked. Regular inspections and insurance led to a decrease in worker risk and a better security net for entrepreneurs.

Industry 2.0

At the turn of the 20th century, water and steam gave way to electricity as the main power source for machines and the businesses that used them. Already now well-established as an insurance and inspection powerhouse, HSB realized that this new power source would be able to concentrate on producing energy for individual machines, leading to increased portability and manageability.
