General description
In recent years, global supply chains have faced significant disruptions for various reasons. The causes have ranged from single loss events to major macroeconomic changes and geopolitical upheavals. At the same time, digitalisation, the IoT (Internet of Things) and new transmission standards such as 5G have made supply chains more efficient and transparent. Upcoming legislation, regulatory frameworks and digitalisation will furthermore drive the transition of supply chains. The seminar provides an in-depth approach to supply-chain-related insurance and reinsurance topics based on three categories of analysis: transparency, resiliency, and sustainability. The participants will engage in discussions with Munich Re experts and industry specialists on supply chain risks and new business opportunities resulting from innovative developments. An excursion to a logistics-relevant industry site will round off the experience.
