External auditor

Since the 2026 financial year, KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, Berlin (KPMG), is the external auditor of the annual and consolidated financial statements of Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft Aktiengesellschaft in München (Munich Reinsurance Company) and the group. In addition, KPMG is appointed as the auditor of the sustainability reporting.

The half-year financial report as at 30 June 2026 was reviewed by KPMG.

KPMG was appointed by the 2026 Annual General Meeting as auditor and Group auditor, each for the 2026 financial year, and as auditor for the review of the condensed financial statements and the interim management report for the first half-year of the 2026 financial year, and as auditor for a possible review of additional interim financial information for the 2026 financial year and the first quarter of the 2027 financial year.

Furthermore, the Annual General Meeting appointed KPMG as auditor for the sustainability reporting for the 2026 financial year, provided that national legislation provides for appointment by the Annual General Meeting.

EY GmbH & Co. KG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, Stuttgart (EY) has been the external auditor of the annual and consolidated financial statements Munich Reinsurance Company and of the group until the 2025 financial year. EY was also engaged as auditor for the sustainability reporting.

EY duly audited the annual Group and Company financial statements and the combined management report as at 31 December 2025 and issued them with an unqualified auditor’s opinion. The group sustainability statement has been subject to a limited assurance review.
