Lives and works in Waakirchen

Otto Wesendonck creates his large scale sculptures from bronze and stainless steel. Their form language is abstract, their expression energetic. Organic, fluid forms intersect with angular bodies, matt surfaces with shiny ones, concave with convex. The tension thus produced extends into space. "I form processes and bursts of malleable energy, and pour and build them into rhythmic design" (Otto Wesendonck).

Otto Wesendonck studied sculpture at Berlin University of the Arts from 1960 to 1967 and became "Meisterschüler" of Bernhard Heiliger. Between 1971 and 1985, he created numerous large sculptures in public places.
