In her works, Judy Ledgerwood usually uses simple geometric forms. Circles are connected like strings of pearls or combined into flower-like patterns, rectangles bent into rhombuses and placed one above the other. The horizontal or vertical structures created spread across the surface. The intensive colours and the intriguing order group the simple, basic forms into vibrant, sensuous compositions. Judy Ledgerwood stretches the limits of concrete abstraction by employing the subversive aspect of sensuousness that she often highlights with feminine, pastel tones.
