    About Our Business

    In 1960, Munich Reinsurance Company of Canada was incorporated by a Special Act of the Parliament of Canada as a wholly owned subsidiary of Munich Re, Munich with its head office located in Montreal. During the mid-Sixties, Munich Re opened regional offices in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal. In 1972, the Head Office relocated from Montreal to Toronto.

    Munich Re Canada is registered federally and licensed in Ontario, Québec and British Columbia to write the following classes of business - property, accident and sickness, aircraft, automobile, boiler and machinery, credit, fidelity, hail, liability, surety and marine.
