Munich Re Automation Solutions Ltd appoints new Senior Vice President to spearhead expansion in Asia

Munich Re Automation Solutions Ltd today announced the appointment of Raphael P Young as Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific Ex. Japan.

Raphael reports to Alby van Wyk, Asia Executive Vice President. “We have won a number of new clients in the Asia Pacific Ex. Japan region over the past few years and have restructured our organisation to enable further growth of our business. Raphael will be leading our effort in the region with responsibilities for our China operations, our Asia Pacific Professional Services team, as well as increasing the market penetration of our ALLFINANZ software suite. I am absolutely delighted to have him join our team.” said Alby.

“Raphael brings to Munich Re a wealth of experience in management consulting and enterprise software for financial services. His 20 years’ experience in driving various transformation programs for large financial institutions, especially life insurance organisations will help us further develop our value proposition in the Asia Pacific Ex. Japan region. We are pleased to have Raphael onboard in leading our growth as well as taking care of our existing clients.” said Ross Mayne, CEO at Munich Re Automation Solutions Ltd.

Prior to joining Munich Re, Raphael was the Managing Principal, Global Financial Services Transformation Office with SAP. Previous to SAP, he has worked in PricewaterhouseCoopers, Accenture and Ernst & Young and specialized in Strategy and Operations for financial services. He has led a number of large scale transformation programs for banking, insurance and wealth management clients. He regularly contributes thought leadership insights at industry conferences and publications and is passionate in helping clients to grow with better systems and processes.

Raphael holds a Master of Business Administration Degree from the Kellogg-HKUST Executive MBA Program and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Accounting from the UK.
