Risk analysis
In risk analysis, the starting point is the original risk. In the first step the risk is identified and reduced to a first level. In the second step, the risk is reduced and then ultimately controlled. The original risk is thus reduced to a residual risk which may be avoided by means of countermeasures.
A risk analysis can heighten and promote awareness of the risk carried by the insurer. Ways and means of solving the problem as a whole can thus be identified.
