Conditions for participation – Notes regarding the prize draw

All shareholders who register to have their AGM documents sent to them electronically will take part in a draw with the following prizes:

  Fund units of MEAG MUNICH ERGO Kapitalanlageges. mbH worth a total of €10,000;
• —
  5 ipod nano.

1. Shareholders who register by 12.00 hrs CEST on 18 April 2008 via our shareholder portal (www.munichre.com/register) to have their AGM documents sent to them electronically and are actually registered at this time for electronic mailing will have the chance of winning

• —
  Fund units of MEAG MUNICH ERGO Kapitalanlageges. mbH (five prizes worth €2,000 each);
• —
  5 ipod nano.

2. Every shareholder entered in the Munich Re shareholder register who is resident in Germany and is also a citizen of one of the EU member states is, by virtue of registering to have the AGM documents sent electronically, automatically entitled to take part in the prize draw and has an equal chance of winning. The number of shares held is of no relevance here. Legal persons are excluded from the prize draw, as are any persons directly involved in preparing and implementing the shareholder portal for the Annual General Meeting.

3. Please note that it is not possible to receive an equivalent cash payment in lieu of the prize.

4. The winners will be drawn in the presence of a notary public and subsequently informed in writing at the postal address entered in the shareholders’ register.

5. Please also note the terms and conditions of use regarding participation in the electronic mailing of the AGM documents and the shareholder portal.

6. Any additional costs arising (e.g. travel expenses, board and lodging) will not be borne by us.

7. The winners shall consent to their names being used and published by MEAG and/or Munich Re in connection with the draw.

8. The right to exercise legal recourse is excluded.
