The Divisional Unit: HealthCare is responsible for writing our health reinsurance business worldwide. With over 1,000 staff in Munich and in more than 30 countries around the world, our team of health insurance experts face the task of tackling the complexities of healthcare in today's world.

Just like the Divisional Unit: Life, Munich Re's Divisional Unit: HealthCare is very much a client- and service-oriented unit. Its main task is to provide support and a full consultancy service to health insurers on all strategic and operational business matters in health insurance and reinsurance.

In addition to services such as market analysis, product development, rate calculation/pricing, risk assessment/selection, claims management and insurance mathematics, the Divisional Unit: HealthCare also offers a wide range of other services/products for health insurers, each tailored to the special needs and requirements of the individual client, for example staff seminars or individual training programmes.
