"Family and Career" works agreement

Munich Re staff do not need to choose between a family or a career. Our "Family and Career" works agreement provides staff with ways to juggle the responsibilities of family and career and resume their jobs after taking family leave. It helps our staff work part-time during or instead of parental leave or take advantage of continuing education opportunities.

Balancing family and career mainly means knowing that one's children are in good hands. Therefore, Munich Re assumes part of the childcare costs incurred by staff members who carry on working while they are on parental leave. The Munich Family Service, with which Munich Re has been working since 1997, gives parents practical support in finding childcare for their offspring.
