Your tasks

Our graduate trainee programme offers you an 18-month grounding in preparation for a career at Munich Re.

While the main focus of the programme is on risk underwriting, preparing the majority of trainees for a career in Munich Re's varied and interesting core business, we also offer a few trainees the opportunity to specialise in accounting, controlling or investments.

Training on the job, training periods in interfacing areas and seminars allow you to develop your professional, social and methodological skills and build up personal networks in the company.

Your qualifications

Candidates will require an excellent degree.

Candidates interested in risk underwriting should ideally have completed internships in the insurance industry or financial services sector and/or have selected a corresponding specialist area of study.

Candidates in accounting/controlling/investments require qualifications and experience in the respective field.

You have already gathered your first international experience. You enjoy in-depth work on complex topics. You are also able to apply your knowledge to new situations quickly and flexibly. You have an excellent command of English and German, and preferably of another foreign language, possess strong communication and analytical skills and are capable of adopting an empathetic approach to others.
