The International Graduate Trainee Programme - Munich Re

A firm grounding for your career plans

International graduate trainee programm

Our International Graduate Trainee Programme will give you a thorough induction into the many different activities of a leading global reinsurer and advance your personal development. Over a period of 24 months, you will be provided with a firm grounding in professional, methodological and social skills, on the basis of which you will subsequently be able to assume a position of responsibility at Munich Re.

The qualities you will need for such a future role are interdisciplinary competence, a solution-oriented approach and an appetite for lifelong learning. Munich Re will offer you the support you need and foster your professional and personal development right from day one. As a trainee, you will experience the breadth and depths of the reinsurance business, tackle the challenges head on and lay the foundation for your future development in one of the most varied and fascinating sectors existing.

What makes our International Graduate Trainee Programme so special is the three central training modules in Munich and Princeton that will give you the opportunity to learn your trade from ground up. And in addition to substantial responsibilities at your main location, the programme also comprises a three-month assignment to one of our over 50 international offices. You will thus be able to rapidly build up an international network. You have the option of choosing the location in accordance with your business unit.

But above all, we will get you fit for a large variety of activities in our core business, for instance as a risk underwriter, actuary or claims manager. The programme may also include training for a career in one of our central divisions, e.g. as an accountant or financial analyst. The focal points depend on training objective, business unit and location.
